Tutorial I Tried

I tried out the following css tutorial:

http://www.webdesignerwall.com/tutorials/css-gradient-text-effect/

This tutorial shows a technique for making cool headers with gradient effects. I think that it interests me because I really like artistic looking things. I am hoping that we can use this technique somewhere for our Habitat site because I think it looks really nice. It is a really easy css technique, but making the gradient images can be challenging because you have to use a program that can do transparency ( I used GIMP ), but other than that it is easy.

Check out my attempt at this technique:

Here's my attempt
I think everyone should check this tutorial out, because it adds a really cool effect to your headers!

I like this technique. It's a quick reusable way to make the content a little more unique. Keep an eye out to make sure it is not overused.

It seems like a relatively easy way to make a website unique. I can see how using photoshop or gimp can give you a great deal of flexibility in designing how it looks. I wonder, can you use several colors in the background?

I think this is a very easy way to spice and website up. When it loads it could cacth the user eye to stay on the page longer. Also maybe make the corners rounded and shaded. Also in the end, maybe when you go over it you can have another color appear.
